Poet & Minstrel

C. B. Brantley

BIO

Ceasar Benjamin Brantley is a millennial North Carolina-born poet, songster, and romantic visionary whose creative journey has been shaped by Christian faith, early musical expression, and a lifelong pursuit of noble love. Raised in a household divided by divorce, he discovered solace and inspiration through music and poetry from an early age—composing his first piano works as a child and developing a lyrical voice influenced by Shakespeare, the Psalms, and Motown greats like Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men.

Brantley's body of work centers on an imagined beloved: a mystery bride who represents both a future hope and a muse for spiritual longing. His poetry draws on the elegance of the past, especially the language of Shakespearean and Romantic verse, while his music carries the soul and sincerity of R&B and symphonic jazz.

Though his life has faced hardship—poverty, illness, and displacement—his pilgrimage has been one of unwavering spiritual conviction. He envisions a 21st-century Neo-Romantic revival: a brotherhood of baptized artists working to restore beauty, dignity, and virtue in art, song, and culture, grounded in the eternal truths of the Christian faith.

In his own words, he does not claim the title of philosopher, but rather that of a preacher of love, who seeks not applause, but to lay down his life for his friends. Through his poetry and music, Brantley calls for a renaissance of holy affection, chivalric humility, and divine purpose—anchored in the ancient faith, yet destined for new days.
